All acreage being offered in Ecuador’s 10th licensing round has attracted interest from the first groups to register, the round’s coordination office from the non-renewable natural resources ministry’s hydrocarbons department told BNamericas.
The ministry last month issued the international call for bids for blocks Armadillo, Chanangue, Charapa, Eno-Ron, Ocano-Peсa Blanca and Singue.
Groups that have registered and purchased documents to date are Sertecpet, Consorcio Okeme (Sertecpet-Cantбrida), Sertecpet y Conacol, and Petrobell y Otras, according to information from the office.
The participation fee is US$10,000/block and offers are due August 26.
The licensing round was the first launched since companies migrated to service from participation contracts.
