Underwood joins Tango Petroleum
Tap Oil founding managing director Paul Underwood has joined oil and gas junior Tango Petroleum in the role of executive chairman.
Incumbent chairman Matthew Walker said Mr Underwood’s extensive corporate experience and impressive tenure at Tap Oil would be invaluable in helping to grow shareholder value.
Mr Underwood was at the helm of Tap Oil for 11 years, during which time the company grew from unlisted junior to fully fledged participant in the oil and gas sector with a market capitalisation of several hundred million dollars.
“I look forward to working with him in establishing a new strategy for the company and securing new business opportunities for Tango,” Mr Walker said.
“We are excited to have him on board.”
Tango Petroleum shares closed today up 0.9 cents, at 2 cents.

Small business hiring slows, wages dip in January
WASHINGTON – Small business payrolls grew at a slower rate in January and wages fell, an independent survey showed on Monday, suggesting the pace of overall job growth moderated after December’s sturdy gain.
Small businesses added 50,000 jobs, payrolls processing firm Intuit said, compared with a gain of 60,000 in December. Still, labor market conditions continue to improve.
“Overall the small business labor market is not weak, but not strong either,” said Susan Woodward, the economist who developed the survey.
